Former MP Gorantla Madhav appeared for questioning in Vijayawada regarding a case involving the disclosure of sexual assault victims' identities. The case was filed after a complaint by former State Women's Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma. Gorantla Madhav also displayed a massive show of strength with a convoy of over 50 vehicles as he headed to the police station for the inquiry.

Amaravati: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former MP Gorantla Madhav appeared before the Vijayawada police for questioning. He was summoned in connection with the case involving the disclosure of the names of sexual assault victims. Based on a complaint from former Chairperson of the State Women’s Commission, Vasireddy Padma, a case was filed against Gorantla Madhav. The complaint, filed on November 2 last year, accused him of revealing the victims' details in violation of regulations. In this context, the police are questioning him today at the Vijayawada Cyber Crime PS.

Former MP Appears for Inquiry
It is known that the police had issued a 41A notice to former MP Gorantla Madhav a few days ago, instructing him to appear for questioning in Vijayawada on Wednesday. On Wednesday, he made a grand entry, indicating his visit to Vijayawada. As part of the pre-arranged plan, YSRCP leaders and activists gathered in large numbers at Madhav’s residence in Anantapur. Former MP Tallari Rangayya and former Tadipatri MLA Kethireddy Peddareddy were among them. Around 1 PM, Gorantla Madhav showcased a show of strength with a convoy of more than 50 vehicles in the city. They also paid floral tributes at the statues of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and B.R. Ambedkar.
YSRCP Leaders Express Solidarity
Before the questioning, he spoke to the media, stating that he would attend the police inquiry, but due to other engagements, he had informed that he would come on Thursday. When asked by the media, "Are you going with a show of strength? Does it take one or two days to reach Vijayawada?" he responded that the YSRCP leaders and activists came to express solidarity after hearing that he was going for questioning. He also stated that his earlier comment about "a civil war happening" on the day he received the notice from Vijayawada police was a reflection of his commitment to his words.
