Field-level sanitation in Telangana

The BJP in Telangana has started its field-level sanitation process, focusing primarily on districts and mandals. Party leaders are currently making key decisions. The process of selecting district presidents is expected to begin soon, with the selection of the state president likely to be completed by February 10. The name of the new BJP state president is expected to be announced shortly.

BJP leaders have decided to strengthen the party's base in Telangana. Arrangements for selecting district presidents have already been completed. Once the candidates submit their nominations, the list will be announced soon. During this process, some leaders are maneuvering to appoint their preferred candidates as district presidents.

After some delays, this process is now set to be fast-tracked under instructions from the party leadership. The BJP high command aims to complete the district president selection process by the end of this month. However, coordination issues and disagreements over specific district presidents had previously caused delays. Special concerns were raised in districts like Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Hyderabad, and Rangareddy. Now, with consensus, leaders are pushing to finalize these decisions quickly.

Nominations will be accepted today (Saturday, February 1). Party leaders Sunil Bansal, Kishan Reddy, Arvind Menon, and Abhay held video conferences with district leaders. They suggested taking nominations on Saturday and announcing the district presidents on Sunday. Telangana has 38 districts, and the selection process for 27 of them has already been completed. Selections for the remaining districts will also be completed soon. The process for selecting the state president will begin once the selections for 20 districts are completed.
